DAMN!

Well. I feel awesome, today I tried to upload my finished HTML site into freewebs (for schoolwork) and it wouldn’t load up for some awkward reason… So I guess I’m boned for my webpage marks. *sigh*

I spent so much time on the website too, that I didn’t update my blog as much as I would have liked to… But… ARGH!

.HEREtoday released their second album, a self-titled disc with some amazing sounds from the songs “Flowers Aside” and “Wires”. I’m a big fan of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and some of the songs on this disc resemble some of their finer music in the harmonies. The accoustics on this CD just blew me away. This power pop CD is definitly worth checking out if you like the RHCP.

Space Empires 4

Space Empires 4, for the pc, is one of the best TBS games to date. The whole point of the game is world domination/peace. You can ally yourself with everyone, and wait untill there are only partnerships left, or roll out and destroy everyone. Or both.

The game has several ship types and weapons that constantly upgrade themselves as you research new things like applied physics, and explosive weapons.

I would play this game anytime, it’s a near perfect TBS game, and the battle system is pretty wicked.

I give this game a 4.5 out of 5. Music would have been a nice touch.

Finest Grain

An Indianapolis duet, Sean Jackson and Kent Vernon, write and play the music for the Indie-music group Finest Grain. The music sounds alot like a peaceful pop rock. The songs they play with an upbeat tempo are amazing, and the lyrics are well thought out.

There song, One Shot, is my personal favourite. Great accousitics.

Day of Reckoning 2

The first DoR for the gamecube was a perfect arcade wrestling simulation game. The smooth flowing moves worked well with balanced roster of wrestlers. The create a character was immense and very deep. The second version of the game improves on a nearly flawless wrestling game. The gameplay this time around is a bit slower, although the plastic look of the characters is gone. I didn’t find the sound track very fufilling, but the best part of this game is an in depth story mode. Most wrestling games have a bunch of events determined by you winning or not. DoR2 brings a large, 30 some odd match story mode that draws you in and keeps you there.

I give DoR2 and 8.5 out of 10.

Freaking Class

So today in Information Tech, we were handed a bull-s assignment because the computers at school don’t all work properly, because some old jerk won’t come in and fix them. Even though me and Cole have found a working one and are sharing it for the purpose of this class, we still got handed a English type assignment, completly unrelated to the class. “The Climax of Humanity”… Sounds like a mass orgy.

Today I’m going to write up my review of Day of Reckoning 2.

Also, according to Indie-music.com, a sweet motherload of orchastral pop music albums are being released right now, that I’m looking forward to purchasing.

First Post

This is my first post to my blog. My class is doing a blog each for the teacher. My spacebar is really ******, and with my short temper I don’t think it’ll last long. Anyways, from now on this blog will be dedicated to the things I think are interesting, including games and music. Infact, this is all we had to do for our class today, (a joke really for a grade 12 course) so I’m off to play Advance wars with the guy beside me.
